Mary Jane Mucklestone

Mary Jane Mucklestone is happiest when she is making something; a hand knitting designer who likes the process of knitting as much as the items she makes. Not always content to sit still, she recently traveled to Peru and Shetland to learn more about her favorite kinds of colorful knitting. Mary Jane has an extensive background in art and textiles. She is currently at work on a book of Fair Isle Motifs, busily knitting two hundred swatches, to be published by Interweave Press, Fall 2011.
